Working as a painter since the early 1980s, Sylvie Bouchard has developed a pictorial language anchored in the Surrealist tradition. Drawing from dreams and visions, her rich and enigmatic visual vocabulary creates an introspective experience, inviting viewers to consider the metaphysical realm and explore the human subconscious. Her psychological panoramas are characterized by a soothing palette and an ethereal aesthetic that has evolved over four decades of practice.
